Garlic Lemon Asparagus with Parmesan Crumbs

🌿 Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, ends trimmed

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

For the Parmesan Crumbs:

  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)


🔥 Instructions:

1. Make the Parmesan Crumbs

In a small skillet over medium heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil. Stir in breadcrumbs and cook until golden and crisp, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan and chili flakes, then set aside.

2. Cook the Asparagus

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add asparagus and toss to coat. Cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until asparagus is tender-crisp and lightly browned.

3. Add Lemon Flavor

Drizzle the lemon juice over the asparagus and sprinkle with zest. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Serve & Top

Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle generously with Parmesan crumbs. Serve warm.
