Crispy Air Fryer Garlic Herb Chicken Thighs

Love fried chicken but want to skip the extra oil? These Air Fryer Garlic Herb Chicken Thighs are juicy on the inside, perfectly crisp on the outside, and packed with flavor from a bold blend of garlic, herbs, and spices. Ready in under 25 minutes, they’re ideal for busy weeknights or a fuss-free weekend meal.

🍗 Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (can also use boneless)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp chili powder or cayenne (optional for heat)

  • Fresh parsley or lemon wedges for garnish

🔥 Instructions:

1. Prep the Chicken

Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels (this helps them get crisp). In a small bowl, mix together all the dry seasonings. Rub chicken with olive oil, then coat evenly with the spice mix.

2. Preheat the Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.

3. Air Fry

Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the basket (don’t overcrowd). Air fry for 12 minutes, then flip and cook for another 8–10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden and crispy.

4. Rest & Serve

Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon if desired.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

Serve with a side of roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or a light cucumber salad. These are also great for meal prepping—just reheat in the air fryer to keep them crisp.
