Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat the Pan
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil.

  3. Sauté Garlic
Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.

  4. Cook the Shrimp
Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque.

  5. Add Lemon and Finish
Stir in the lemon juice, remaining tablespoon of butter, and chopped parsley. Toss shrimp to coat in the sauce.

  6. Serve
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with lemon wedges. Serve hot with crusty bread, pasta, or rice.
